Winter Open House at Pioneer Sholes School

Chase away the winter blahs and cabin fever when you visit the 1872 one-room schoolhouse. Experience history, enjoy a skit, songs and poetry. Children can make an old fashioned craft to take home and refreshments will be served. Meet people who attended the school in the 1940s, then go down the road to the Durant House for a docent lead tour. All activities are free, but donations are always welcome. LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve is located just off Dean Street north of RT 64.
