1800's life is demonstrated by blacksmiths, spinners, basket makers, quilters and carvers displaying their skills. Live Blue Grass and Folk music featuring local musicians. The Chaplin Creek Muzzle Loaders will set up camp and have demonstrations during the festivals and spear throwing demonstrations by the Illinois Atlatl Association.
A first this year is the Fiber Fair! Vendors will be offering a wide selection of supplies and finished objects. Attend workshops for drop spindle, needle felting, hand-painted skeins and roving along with demonstrations of spinning, weaving and more. Please bring cameras and your chairs.

An Evening in the President's Shadow...A Tasting Reception

Sponsored by the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home, this annual event will be held at Reagan Memorial Park, which is located adjacent to the Reagan Boyhood Home. This will be an evening reception of tasting unique wines, beers, non-alcoholic punches and finger foods with music and fellowship that benefits the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home. Admission is $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the event, which includes entrance, commemorative wineglass and 10 tasting tokens. Tickets will be available after July 1 at the Boyhood Home's Gift Shop.

Tues, Aug 9 – An Evening in the President’s Shadow Tasting Reception. Come enjoy an evening in the park at Reagan’s Boyhood Home. The evening will feature unique wines, beers, non-alcoholic punches and music starting at 7pm.
Wed, Aug 10 – Ice Cream Social & live music on the Riverfront in downtown Dixon from 6-8pm.
Thurs, Aug 11 – Community Picnic at Lowell Park. A perfect setting for an old-fashioned community picnic at Lowell Park, where Reagan once saved 77 lives as a lifeguard. Starting at 5 p.m., come enjoy free pontoon boat rides and a pork chop dinner.
Fri, Aug 12 – Annual Ronald Reagan Gala. This event celebrates Ronald Reagan and Dixon High School alumni that have gone on to do great things just as Reagan did. The evening will feature dinner, awards presentation, music and dancing.
Fri, Aug 12 - Taste of Dixon on the Riverfront from 5-10pm, featuring food vendors, music, kids games and much more.
Sat, Aug 13 – Family festival in downtown Dixon. The date starts with a pancake breakfast from 7-10am at the First Christian Church. Take a tour of the historic places in and around the downtown with a trolley ride. Hop off the trolley and explore what each historic site has to offer. Tours of the Reagan Home, Loveland Community House Museum, Dixon Historic Center, Dixon Public Library and more. Explore the downtown festival that includes the Taste of Dixon and games, including the traditional Jelly Belly Tasting Contest all starting at 11am. The annual Horse Parade on Hennepin Ave. starts at 4pm.
Sun, Aug 14 – Annual Reagan Heritage Bike Ride. The ride starts in Dixon and makes its way along the Ronald Reagan Trail.
