< Olympia Fields >

Olympia Fields was incorporated in 1927. It first began to attractattention in the 1920's and '30s when well-to-do Chicagoansventured into the area to play golf and enjoy the scenic beauty ofthe Olympia Fields Country Club. The club hosted the 1928 U.S.Open Golf Championship, and most recently the 103rd U.S.Open in 2003. It also hosted numerous Western Opens and otherpremier golf events.

Over time, some of these people made Olympia Fields their year-round residence. Today, the village is still home to some of Chicagoland's most successful people.
