< Lynwood >

Originally, a small, rural farming community, Lynwood was incorporated in 1959, and has seen much change and innovation throughout the years, developing into a community of modest size with family, commercial and industrial attributes. Lynwood is the Gateway to Illinois along the Lincoln Highway National Scenic Byway.

Located on Route 38 near Illinois 394 within miles of Chicago, the Village of Lynwood is conveniently located to the city, yet far enough away to retain a distinctive local pride. The backbone of the community is still education, service, business, and traditional values.
