Genoa's
Main Street was once a stop for the stage coach trail from
Chicago to Galena in the early 1800's. Genoa has welcomed
visitors and travelers for centuries and has enjoyed sharing
its
small town heritage. In 1996 the city became a designated
Main
Street Community and is a member of the National Trust for
Historic Preservation.
