Aurora 
Located just 37 miles west of downtown Chicago, Aurora is easily accessible by car, train or air.
In the beginning, the Aurora area was home to the Pottawatomie Indians governed by Chief Waubonsie who peacefully co-existed with the first white settlers, Joseph and Samuel McCarty. Aurora, named after Aurora, New York was established in 1857 with a population of 7,000. In 1881, Aurora was the first city in the world to illuminate all of its street lights with electric lights, giving birth to its current moniker, "Aurora, The City of Lights."
Today, Aurora is a young, diverse and vibrant community with an estimated population of 155,000, making it the second largest city in Illinois.
Aurora is home to the Paramount Theatre, known for its world-class entertainment; several museums; bike paths; shops; restaurants; golf courses and parks; not to mention the Hollywood Casino.
