Ashton, formerly Ogle Station, is a village in Lee County. Ashton is home to the Mills and Petrie Memorial Building that is named after a pair of Civil War veterans who “adopted” the town. This building houses Ashton’s city offices and the public library.
This mural's color palette is reminiscent of a vintage photograph and highly detailed images of the street festivities, viewers will be transported back to the early Lincoln Highway era to join the Pavement Jubilee.
